The new Litchfield Area Writers Club book “Home” is available for sale at KLFD, the Natural Food Co-op and at Open Door Gifts at Meeker Memorial Hospital.

Meeker Area Co-op MST USA 2025 chocolate advent calendars are available for $6 each from any member or at Kinsella Chiropractic Clinic.  The proceeds from the fundraiser will help students travel this summer to Omaha on a mission trip.

The ELCA Co-op Lutefisk & Meatball Dinner will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 3:30-to-7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran at 504 North Gilman Avenue in Litchfield.  The event will benefit ELCA Co-op Youth Mission Service Trip and Meeker County Food Shelf.  The menu includes lutefisk with white sauce or melted butter, meatballs in gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, homemade bread, lefse, flatbread, cranberries, Scandinavian sweets, coffee, water and milk.  The cost is $20 per plate, $25 for take-outs and $10 for children ages 5-to-12. There’s a quilt raffle:  $1 per chance.

The Oyster Stew and Soup Dinner at St. John Lutheran Church – north of Atwater – will be on Sunday, November 24^th, from 5-to-7:30 p.m.  There will be oyster stew, chicken wild rice soup, cheesy ham & potato soup, ham buns and bars for freewill offerings.

St. Paul Lutheran Church of Eden Valley will have a Pancake Brunch on Saturday, November 30^th from 10-to-2.  It’s all-you-can-eat pancakes, potato pancakes, pork sausage, liver sausage, applesauce and dessert.  The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-to-10 and free for children 3 and under.

The Light of Love ceremony is coming up on Monday, December 2^nd by the Darwin Twine Ball and people may purchase a light on the tree in memory of a loved one.  Call Ecumen of Litchfield Hospice at 693-7367 for more information.

The Little Red Schoolhouse’s 15th Annual Holiday Sale will be on Saturday, Dec. 7th from 8:30-to-2 at Beckville Lutheran Church at 20521 600th Avenue – south of Litchfield. There will be European breads, garlics, 3D printing demo and gifts, Christmas and home decor, hats, paintings, poinsettias, krumkaka, rosettes, charcuterir and cribbage boards and more.

Christmas at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City will be on Saturday, December 7^th from 9 a.m. to noon.  There will be decorative cookies, candy, a bake sale, lefse, ethnic goodies, quilts, crafts, cards, napkins and brunch.  The cost for the brunch is $13 for adults, $6 for children 10 and under and $4 for just a roll and coffee.  Take-outs are available.

The 71^st annual St. Lucia Breakfast at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield will be on Saturday, December 14^th from 6-to-9 a.m.  It’s a traditional Swedish breakfast with the option of scrambled eggs.  The suggested donation is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-to-10, and free for children under 6.  Tickets are available at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield or at the door.
