The annual Golden Fleece Lodge #89 Vidalia Onion sale is underway.  The cost is $14 for a 10-pound bag.  The onions will be delivered the second week of May.  To place orders, call Jim Curry at 221-1925.

The Meeker County Extension Master Gardeners and Horticulture Society Garden Gala is on Thursday, March 27^th from 5-to-8:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield.  If you register by March 14^th, the cost is $10, otherwise it’s $20 at the door.  For more information, call the Extension office at 693-5275.

The Shepherd of Souls Area Faith Community Prayer Shawl Ministry will have a yarn sale on Saturday, March 29^th from 8:30-to-4 at St. John’s Education Center – east of Cokato – at 17260 U.S. Highway 12.

The Kimball Area Community Expo will be on Saturday, March 29^th from 9 a.m. to noon at Kimball Area High School.  Breakfast will be served from 7:30-to-10:30 a.m. by Kimball United Methodist Church.  The event is sponsored by the Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Again and Again Thrift Store at 242 North Sibley Avenue in Litchfield has a Girls Day Out promotion – “The Diva Inside” – on Saturday, March 29^th from 9:30-to-3:30 p.m.

The Roast Beef Dinner in the Forest City Threshers Dining Hall will be on Sunday, March 30th from 11-to-2.  Craig Kimmerle will be playing the piano during the event.

A Rummage & Bake Sale will be held on Friday, April 4^th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, April 5^th from 8-to-2 at 821 East 5^th Street in Litchfield with all proceeds benefitting the School of St. Philip.

The Annual Community Agstravaganza – coordinated by the Dassel-Cokato FFA Alumni – will be held on Friday, April 4th, from 5-to-7 p.m. at the Dassel Cokato High School in Cokato.  It includes a silent auction.  Proceeds from this event will directly benefit students.  For more details, contact dasselcokatoffaalumni@gmail.com.

The Litchfield Lions have a breakfast on Sunday, April 6^th from 8:30-to-12:30 at the Litchfield Eagles Club.  It includes pancakes, French toast, sausage, coffee, juice and milk for a freewill offering.

The Sausage and Pancake Supper at the Church of Our Lady social hall in Manannah will be on Sunday, April 6^th from 4-to-7 p.m.  There will be sausage, pancakes, applesauce, bars and beverages.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  Take-outs will be available.  The church is at 57482 CSAH 3 – north of Grove City.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eden Valley has a Smelt & Fish Fry on Friday, April 11^th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. – or until the fish is gone.  The cost is $20 per person, $10 for children 7-to-12 and free for children 6 and under.  The menu includes smelt, cod, homemade sides of potato salad, beans, coleslaw, bread, bars, coffee, juice, milk and water.  It’s dine-in or take-out – all-you-can-eat.  For take-out orders, call 320-453-2472.

The 18^th annual BBQ Chicken Dinner & Bake Sale for the Riverview Christian School will be at the new Believer’s Fellowship Hall – north of Grove City – at 34419 520^th Avenue on Friday, April 25^th from 3:30-to-8 p.m.  The menu includes BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, home-grown sweet corn, coleslaw, dinner rolls, pie and ice cream.  The suggested donation is $20 for adults and $12 for children.
