Student of the Week

NORA BLOCK has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mr. Huhner of the Math Department. Nora is a sophomore and the daughter of Jerry and Kelly Block of Litchfield. Nora has a fantastic depth of understanding the math concepts we study. She has outstanding discussions and discourse with her peers pertaining to problems posed during class. Her exemplary accuracy and precision when finding and evaluating solutions to various real world problems posed during class. Nora participates in Cross Country, Softball, Student Council, Dragonaires and FCA. Her other hobbies and interests include reading, sewing, running, wakeboarding and pickleball. Congratulations Nora on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week!

CECE SEPULVEDA has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Rogness of the FCS Department. CeCe is a junior and the daughter of Samantha Franco and Jordan Dansby of Litchfield. CeCe is kind. She helps others without making them feel self-conscious. Her willingness to do whatever is needed – always with a positive attitude – shows a level of maturity and compassion that sets her apart. She treats every interaction as a chance to understand more. She isn’t just a bystander; she is mentally “tuned in” at all times. She asks quality questions that often open up deeper conversation. Cece is a calm and thoughtful communicator. When issues arise she is the first one to calmly ask a question to make sure she understands the issue – a valuable skill that few people naturally have. CeCe participates in Choir. Her hobbies and interests include working, baking, being with family, fishing during the summer, and playing games with friends. JOSHUA OSTVIG has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Acuna of the Music Department. Joshua is a junior and the son of Michael and Sarah Ostvig of Litchfield. Joshua is a very well rounded student. He has a young mind that is full of potential and self-reflection. He knows what his capabilities and aspirations could could/should/will be and he strives to reach them, even if that is not always an easy path or the one laid out for him. Joshua is one of the most energetic band members we have and it is contagious. He can get the entire ensemble to follow his lead, whether that be at a volleyball game cheering on his classmates, or in rehearsal, encouraging others to get excited about a new piece of repertoire we are working on. Joshua is a kind classmate and congratulates others on their successes. Joshua participates in Football, Basketball, Track and Field, FCCLA, Student Council, Band, Marching Band, Knowledge Bowl, Choir and FCA. His hobbies and interests include cooking, baking, proselyting, spending time with friends and family, playing board games, and being stupendous. EMILIANO IBARRA has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Moorhouse of the Science Department. Emiliano is a sophomore and the son of Ramona Cano of Litchfield. Emiliano always shows up to class with a positive attitude, regardless of what we are learning in Biology. He is a standout student who consistently models kindness and respect toward both his teachers and his peers. Emiliano is a hard working student and a joy to have in class. He perfectly balances being a focused, respectful student with having a fantastic personality that makes the classroom a better place. Emiliano participates in Football and Baseball. His hobbies and interests include going to the gym, training for sports and going out. Congratulations Emiliano on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week.

STELLA BRAATEN has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Koll of the English Department. Stella is a sophomore and the daughter of Luke and Darcie Braaten of Litchfield. Stella is a fantastic English student. She has high expectations for herself and that comes through in class. Whether the assignment is big or small, Stella is going to make sure she does it thoroughly and to the best of her ability. No matter the assignment, she spends the time thinking deeply and critically about whatever the topic is and then conveys it so well in writing or while discussing. Whether it’s in school or sports, Stella is internally motivated to do her best in all situations. Stella is kind. She positively impacts the classroom environment with how welcoming and nice she is to everyone. She’s simply a wonderful person! Stella participate in Volleyball, Hockey, Softball, Letters of Love, Dragonaires, and Student Council. Her hobbies and interests include spending time with friends and family, sports, and watching movies. Congratulations Stella on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week!

VIVIAN MILLER has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Larson of the Language Arts/German Department. Vivian is a freshman and the daughter of Tom and Abby Miller of Litchfield. Vivian has a love of learning. She is often found seeking out educational opportunities, whether it is taking German, or being a participant in Knowledge Bowl, she illustrates a desire to know more. She displays thoughtful kindness towards her peers and is very inclusive towards all students. Vivian is thoughtful in her literary analysis – always offering additional insight to the text. She is very reflective in her writing – her final essays illustrate Vivian ability to make clever connections. Vivian participates in Band and FFA. Her hobbies and interests included playing guitar, watching movies, playing video games and hanging out with her siblings. Congratulations Vivian on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week!
