Student of the Week

EMILY MICHELS has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Boerema of the English Department. Emily is a sophomore and the daughter of Jason and Andrea Michels of Litchfield. Emily is conscientious in and out of class. She emails if she has questions, comes in for extra help outside of class, and is responsible about getting work if she misses class for other activities. Emily asks good questions in her English 10 class helping her peers to better understand the material. She plans for the future, thinking ahead of how she can accomplish her goals in class and in the future. Emily participates in Tennis, Basketball, Golf, Choir, FCA, Student Council and Letters of Love. Her other hobbies and interests include spending time with friends, traveling, shopping and playing sports. Congratulations Emily on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week!

BROOKLYN PORTH has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mrs. Crusoe of the Academics Department. Brooklyn is a senior and the daughter of Ken and Sue Porth of Darwin. Brooklyn has shown significant academic growth! Her mindset change in prioritizing herself and recognizing that her intelligence and ability is worthy of success. She has a positive attitude. Brooklyn participates on the Litchfield Dance team. Her hobbies and interests include dancing, shopping, working out and cooking. ALEXANDER MEDINA-LIZARRAGA has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mr. Mark Mavencamp of the World Languages Department. Alex is a junior and the son of Dinorah Lizarraga and Yair Medina of Litchfield. Alex consistently demonstrates a willingness to help classmates, offering support and encouragement whenever needed. Alex engages deeply with the content, showing curiosity and enthusiasm that inspires those around him. His dedication and effort in completing assignments are evident in the high quality of his work. Alex participates in Football, Basketball and Baseball. His hobbies and interests include lifting weights, playing video games and hanging out with friends. JOSH BLOMBERG has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mr. Kadow of the Science Department. Josh is a junior and the son of Bob and Jennifer Blomberg of Litchfield. Josh was chosen for this honor based upon his outstanding academic work, great hair and probably a saxophone player! Josh participates in Band, Dragonaires, Football, Basketball and Tennis. His hobbies and interests include hanging out with friends and family, little craft projects, basketball and video games. Congratulations Josh on being chosen as this weeks Student of the Week!

WAYLON SHOULTZ has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Terri Orzolek. Waylon is a junior and the son of Megan and Adam Shoultz of Litchfield. Waylon has demonstrated a great deal of improvement and maturity in regards to his school work. He has a goal of graduating by the end of quarter 3 of the 2025-2026 school year. Waylon actively participates in class discussions, is not afraid to voice his opinion and is very helpful to his fellow classmates. He brings a great deal of humor to the classroom. BRIDGETTE EASTMAN has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Natalie Nelson of the Math Department. Bridgette is a freshman and the daughter of Kristopher and Elizabeth Eastman of Litchfield. Bridgette is a leader in our classroom community and is a consistent model student. She is kind and supportive of peers and is always willing to help others. Bridgette consistently demonstrates a growth mindset and invests the hard work necessary to be successful. She is tenacious and demonstrates a positive attitude toward the learning process, viewing mistakes or challenges as opportunities to deepen her understanding of the material. Bridgette advocates for herself effectively through asking thoughtful questions and communicating her needs. She takes ownership of her learning and works diligently toward achieving her goals. LYDIA SCHULTZ has been selected as this weeks “Student of the Week” by Mr. Cole of the Ag Department. Lydia is a junior and the daughter of Jenny Hoffman and Steve Schultz of Litchfield. Lydia was chosen for this honor based upon her willingness to help others, her attention to detail and her positive personality. Lydia participates in FFA, Volleyball, Hockey and Trap Shooting.
