St. Philip’s Catholic School has a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, January 25^th from 4:30-to-6:30 p.m. at the St. Philip’s Church Social Hall.

The Darwin Drifters Fun Run will be on Saturday, January 25^th – snow or no snow.  Bring your stamped card to the Darwin Rod & Gun Club from 6-to-8 p.m.  Start at any check point including Shaggy’s Bonfire, Thirsty’s in Dassel, Honky’s and MN Beer in Grove City, Manannah Hilltop, Riverside Tavern in Forest City, Sassie’s Tavern in Eden Valley, Red Goat in Watkins, Eagles Club and Muddy Cow in Litchfield, V’s Grill & Pub, and Darwin Rod & Gun Club.  Proceeds will go toward a new groomer.  It’s a $10 donation per hand with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of $300, $200 and $100.

Everyone is invited to attend the Sustainable Farming Association annual meeting at Crow River Winery in Hutchinson on Sunday, January 26th, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Lunch is included.  It’s free for SFA members and $35 for non-members.  To make reservations, call Jayna at 952-292-0640.

The 36^th annual Kingston Lions Ice Fishing Contest will be held on Saturday, February 1^st from 1-to-3 p.m. at the Kingston Community Center.  There will be several cash prizes including the 1^st prize of $750.  Tickets will be available before the event – they are $2 each, 3 for $5 or 25 for $20.  Concessions will be available and there will be numerous door prizes for which you must be present to win.

The public is welcome to a Soup & Chili Supper during the 53^rd annual Peanut Butter & Milk Festival on Monday, February 3^rd, at 7 p.m. at the Forest City Threshers Building.  Freewill donations will be accepted.  The visitors from Hartford, Alabama will be speaking after supper.

The 53^rd annual Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Potluck Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 6^th at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Philip’s Church Social Hall on East 5^th Street in Litchfield.  Bring a dish to share.  There will also be a silent auction, and the guests from Alabama will talk about their week of experiences in Meeker County.
