2-Vehicle Crash East of Grove City

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 12 – east of Grove City – at the intersection of 560th Avenue in Acton Township at 12:56 Thursday afternoon. A 2026 Chevrolet Equinox and a 2018 Freightliner boom truck were traveling west on Highway 12 near 560th Avenue when they collided.
The boom truck was driven by 26-year-old Jared Harvey Scholz of Litchfield. Neither Scholz, nor his passenger – a 34-year-old Litchfield man – were injured. The Equinox was driven by 29-year-old Willow Brooke Sturtz of Paynesville. She received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital. Also responding to the scene were the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Grove City Fire Department and Mayo EMS.
