ATV Accident in Greenleaf Township

On July 4th at 4:39 p.m., the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV accident at a residence in the 61800 block of 193rd Street in Greenleaf Township. Meeker County Deputies, MN DNR, MN State Patrol, Litchfield Rescue and Mayo Ambulance responded to the scene. When deputies arrived, they learned 44-year-old Patrick Riley of Litchfield was driving an ATV when he struck a tree and was thrown from the ATV. Riley was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
