Bridge on CSAH 34 North of Litchfield is Complete
The replacement of the County-State-Aid-Hghway 34 bridge over the North Fork of the Crow River – about 4 miles north of Litchfield – was completed on July 16th. The road is once again open to all traffic.
The project was expected to take 5-months to complete and the road was closed for exactly 5-months – from February 16th to July 16th. The bridge project contractor was Structural Specialties of Hutchinson. Meeker County Public Works Director Phil Schmalz says the patience of the traveling public was greatly appreciated while construction crews worked to replace the aged structure.
