Church of Our Lady Grilled Smoked Pork Chop Supper
The Church of Our Lady in Manannah has it’s grilled smoked pork chop supper on Sunday from 4-to-7 in the social hall on County-State-Aid-Highway 3. Besides the pork chops, there will be au gratin potatoes, green beans, glazed carrots and dessert. The cost is $15 for adults, $6 for children 6-to-12 and free for kids 5 and under.
The event also includes a raffle and parish member Barb Laabs says there are 73 different prizes including the top cash prize of $1,000 and $5 tickets for that are available from church members and will also be sold at the event on Sunday. She says they have their drawing at 7 p.m. and some people stick around to see if they won, but they call all of the winners.
Barb says the Church of Our Lady will be open tomorrow so people are welcome to look around in case they missed the 150th anniversary event last month. She says the pork chop supper is not just a way to get a delicious meal, but it’s an opportunity to visit with people from all over the area who attend the event.
