Civil War Roundtable

The G.A.R. Hall in Litchfield will be hosting another Civil War Roundtable meeting on August 13th at 1:30 p.m. Mike Penrod from the St. Cloud area will be speaking during the meeting on Thursday about what was going on locally during the Civil War.

Meeker County Museum Executive Director Danelle Erickson says Penrod will talk about the U.S.-Dakota War which was taking place in this part of Minnesota at that time. She says the museum will be hosting an event on September 24th at 7 p.m. regarding Litchfield’s Centennial celebration which took place back in 1969.

Erickson says you can find more details about events coming up at the Meeker County Museum at meekercomuseum.org. She says the Museum at 308 North Marshall Avenue in Litchfield is open Tuesday through Friday from 10-to-4 and Saturdays from noon-to-4.
