Community Circles Program

Meeker Area Ministries continues its mission of providing emergency housing to the homeless population, and helping them transition into permanent housing and a stable lifestyle. The organization has a program coming up on October 13th and 29th at 6 p.m. at 409 North Sibley Avenue in Litchfield for people to get information about a mentorship-type of effort that is underway to help the local homeless.

Rochelle Brummond says it’s called Community Circles and people attending either of the dates can learn about volunteer opportunities that are available through Meeker Area Ministries. She says people can get more information by calling her at 320-693-7911, extension 1401.

Pastor Tom Evenson says it’s the people in the community who help Meeker Area Ministries with its mission and it takes mentoring from local citizens to stand by the homeless and guide them as they learn how to transition into a life of stable housing, employment, owning a car, paying bills, etc. Any donations to Meeker Area Ministries are always welcome and may be sent to Post Office Box 192 in Litchfield.
