Forest City Threshers Roast Beef Dinner

A roast beef dinner will be held at the Forest City Threshers building on Sunday from 11-to-1. Proceeds will go towards improvements to the Threshers building.

Butch Schulte says the menu includes roast beef in gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, dinner roll, cake & strawberries, and Craig Kimmerle will be playing the piano. He says they had a great threshing show in August and there are lots of great ideas for future additions to the show, but it will take volunteer labor and funds to accomplish.

Dave Jutz says they are looking at adding on to their depot building as they keep getting items donated that should be displayed there, and they are also looking at adding a large sawmill. He says the proceeds from Sunday dinner are being designated for improvements to the Threshers dining hall which gets used a lot throughout the year.

Jutz says the cost for Sunday’s roast beef dinner is $15 for adults, $8 for children 5-to-12 and free for children 4 and under. He says it’s dine-in or take-out with gluten-free options.
