Grove City Man Charged with Attempted Homicide

Unconditional bail has been set at 2 million dollars for a Grove City man accused of stabbing his mother this past Sunday morning. 23-year-old Mitchell Lokken is charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Homicide, 2nd Degree Assault and misdemeanor Domestic Assault. The criminal complaint says Lokken stabbed his mother with a kitchen knife after an argument in their home and in a motor vehicle. After he stabbed the 44-year-old woman the first time, Lokken was restrained by other family members until police arrived. He made his first appearance in Meeker County District Court on Tuesday and his next appearance is scheduled for December 22nd. The stabbing victim suffered a punctured lung and has other injuries – including heart issues.
