It’s Time for the MN State Fair
The 2026 Minnesota State Fair opens tomorrow (Aug. 27) and will continue through Labor Day – September 7th. There are all kinds of new things to see and new foods to try at the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
State Fair spokesperson Maria Hayden spoke about the fair on KLFD’s “Newsmaker” program Tuesday and said that there are 36 new foods to try and 9 new food vendors. She says there is a huge Ferris wheel at this year’s fair to honor America’s 250th birthday, and she says the coliseum project is complete and will have its grand opening tomorrow.
Hayden says there will be all kinds of musical concerts in the grandstand to appeal to all tastes of music – from Bonnie Raitt on opening night to Brad Paisley on September 3rd, and the Gospel music of CeCe Winans on Labor Day at 3 p.m. She says there are all kinds of free park ‘n’ ride lots with shuttle service to the fair and express buses for a minimal fee to transport people in from the suburbs as parking around the fairgrounds fills up quickly each day. You can find all kinds of information about the Great Minnesota Get-Together at mnstatefair.org.
