LHS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Litchfield High School Hall of Fame induction ceremony is coming up on Friday, October 9th at 7 p.m. in the Litchfield High School Commons, with a reception preceding the event at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend as 4 past graduates will be honored this year.

Hall of Fame committee member Marcia Provencher says they used to have the ceremony in conjunction with the Marching Band indoor concert in November, but the hall of fame event will be a month earlier this year which will make the ceremony less rushed and during a time when there aren’t so many other activities going on in the school. She says one of the highlights of the hall of fame event each year is when they bring the inductees into the high school earlier in the day on that Friday to visit with the students.

Provencher says this year’s inductees will include the late Jennifer Bjorhus from the Class of 1982, the late Father Tony Stubeda from the Class of 1977, Mark Scharmer from the Class of 1973 and Evonne Young Fix from the Class of 1990. She says Leanne Kess will have articles about each of the inductees in the Litchfield Rail and there will be interviews with the inductees or their representatives on KLFD each day at 11:05 a.m. next week leading up to October 9th.
