Litchfield Community Ed Busy with Fall Activities

Litchfield Community Education is busy with fall activities and is already getting ready for winter youth events such as Legion basketball and wrestling. There are also several adult activities coming up.

Litchfield Community Education Director Grant Solem says many of the events are scheduled for either the Litchfield Area Recreation Center or the Wagner Education Building and they try not to conflict with other activities that are going on. He says, besides sporting events, there are other offerings for youth.

Solem says they have some online instrumental classes for adults who want to learn to play piano, guitar or ukulele. He says there’s also open swimming, walking club, and pickle ball.

Solem says there are trips – on December 8th for “Honky Tonk Holiday” at the Sidekick Theater in Bloomington and “How to Talk Minnesotan, the Musical” on January 21st at the Plymouth Playhouse. He says Litchfield Community Theatre will be performing “A Christmas Carol” the second weekend of December and tickets will go on sale in early November.
