Litchfield School Board Meeting

The Litchfield School Board had some discussion last night about establishing a family season pass for attending activities. The matter has been tabled until July so that some more options can be considered.
The proposal from Assistant Principal/Activities Director Justin Brown was for having a family pass of $225. The Board would like to have some options for those who can’t afford that amount.
The Board also approved of the scope of a project to rehabilitate the swimming pool and to seek bids for the project. Business Manager Jesse Johnson says $367,000 has been allocated for repairs to the pool in the 10-year long-term facilities maintenance plan. He says Wold Architects has estimated that repairs could range between $315,000 to $595,000 for replacement of the main drain, cleaning and regrouting of ceramic tile finishes and replacement of gutters, starting blocks and all pool mechanical equipment.
The Litchfield School Board has approved of 2025-26 insurance renewals. Among the items approved in the consent agenda was membership for 2025-26 with the Minnesota School Boards Association for $9,854, and approval of a contract for 2025-27 with the new IT Director Mark Schumann.
