Meeker Area Partners in Prevention Seeking People to Serve on a Subcommittee for Local Opioid Settlement Funds
Meeker Area Partners in Prevention is looking for people interested in serving on a subcommittee to help determine grant recipients for local opioid settlement funds. Today is the deadline to apply to be on the subcommittee.
Meeker County Health & Human Services Supervisor Chukuma Ijioma says there is more information on how to apply on the Meeker County website or you can email Kay Winterfeldt at kay.winterfeldt@co.meeker.mn.us. He says applicants may be from the medical field or from other areas that would have an interest in opioid abuse prevention.
Chukuma says requests for proposals will be accepted starting October 1st and then the subcommittee will determine which projects will receive grants which are expected to be awarded in January. He says a community meeting will be held on September 25th at 10 a.m. in the Meeker County Government Center with more information about the opioid settlement funds and he says Meeker Area Partners in Prevention meets the third Tuesday of each month and anyone is welcome to get involved.
