Miss Litchfield Candidates Addie & Madison

The 68th annual Litchfield Watercade celebration is coming up on July 11th through the 14th and 6 young ladies are vying for the title of Miss Litchfield. The coronation will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14th – at the conclusion of the Watercade celebration.
The candidates are being interviewed this week on KLFD and two of them were on yesterday’s “Newsmaker” program – Adeline Lundin and Madison Hanson. Addie Lundin is the daughter of Daryl & Erin Lundin and is sponsored by Jomas Hill Vineyard & Winery. She says she just graduated from Litchfield High School where she was involved in swimming/diving, basketball, softball, golf, Dragonaires choir, FFA, FCA, Marching Band and National Honor Society.

Lundin says she will be going to North Dakota State University to major in nursing. She says running for Miss Litchfield is something she’s thought about since she was a little girl.
Lundin says her favorite Watercade activity has been the Center Bank Brat Feed and that will be coming up on July 11th from 4-to-6 p.m. She says she’d also like people to attend the Sand Sculpture contest which will be on July 12th at 5 p.m. at Lake Ripley Beach, and the queen candidates car wash this Thursday, June 27th from noon-to-2 p.m. at the Family Fare parking lot.
Madison Hanson is the daughter of Derek & Katie Hanson and is sponsored by Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics. She will be a senior at Litchfield High School where she’s been involved in swimming/diving, golf, National Honor Society, Student Council and Marching Band. Hanson says she plans to study nursing when she goes to college and maybe eventually dermatology. She says running for Miss Litchfield provides lots of volunteer opportunities.

Hanson says she encourages people to sign up for the golf tournament on July 14th at 10 a.m. at the Litchfield Golf Course, and to purchase a Watercade button. For more details about the celebration coming up in Litchfield, go to watercade.com.
