New London to New Brighton Antique Care Run

The 40th annual New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run is coming up tomorrow and there will be stops in Grove City, Litchfield and Kingston Saturday morning. The cars will be in Litchfield’s Central Park from 8:30 to 10 a.m., following a stop at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City, and then the cars will stop in Kingston where the Lions Club is hosting a lunch from 10:30-to-noon at the Kingston Community Center.

The antique cars made a trek to the Belgrade area on Wednesday for stops at Bayer Built and at the Rustic Design Flower Farm. A trip was also made to Sedan on Thursday. The cars will travel around Nest and Green Lakes today and will travel through downtown New London later this afternoon and then the antique car enthusiasts will enjoy a chicken and rib dinner at the American Legion in New London.

Saturday’s 120-mile Car Run will also include stops in Buffalo and Anoka before ending in New Brighton for Stock Yard Days. The Antique Car Run began in 1986 and replicates a car run that was well-known in England between the cities of London and Brighton.
