The 67th annual Litchfield Watercade celebration is coming up July 6th through the 9th. Three candidates are vying for the title of Miss Litchfield and the new queen will be crowned during the coronation on July 9th at 3 p.m. in the Bernie Aaker Auditorium.
Candidate number-two is Kylie Guggemos – daughter of Chris & Shelly Guggemos. Her sponsor is Farm Bureau. She says she always looked up to Miss Litchfield and the princesses as a child and then her future sponsor encouraged her to run for Miss Litchfield.
Guggemos says she did post-secondary and graduated this spring from Litchfield High School, but was in theater and was in choir for a short time. She says she’s planning to attend Mankato State University and wants to become a speech therapist. Kylie says she’s always enjoyed the Beach Party and she invites everyone to the brat feed at Center Bank on July 6th from 4-to-6 p.m.
Seven Litchfield 4th graders are running as Junior Ambassadors. Three of them spoke on KLFD yesterday. Brynley McGraw is sponsored by Naturally Undefined Beauty. She says the parade is her favorite Watercade activity. Lexi Bischof is sponsored by Litchfield Shipping, and she says she enjoys Pie in the Park. Clara Johnson is sponsored by Kadyl, Inc. She says her favorite Watercade activities are the fishing contest and the Beach Party. For more Watercade information, go to watercade.com.
