The Litchfield Watercade royalty has a fundraiser underway. Tickets are available for sale for a $1,000 bingo event on April 12th at the Muddy Cow.
Watercade Board member Sara Miller says the royalty has various expenses that they raise money for throughout the year, separate from the Watercade budget. She says she has a few tickets and there some available at the Muddy Cow in advance. Miller says Watercade is approaching the second weekend in July and registration is already open for some events.
Miller says you can find more details at watercade.com or on their Facebook page. She says if the bingo tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door at the Muddy Cow on April 12th.
2025-26 Princess Katelyn Guggemos says she’s finishing her senior year at Litchfield High School. She says she and Princess Raigan Miller and Queen Brooke Caron have been busy attending parades and other events this past year, including a recent parade in Maple Lake on St. Patrick’s Day, and applications for the next group of Litchfield Watercade royalty candidates will close tomorrow.
Guggemos says she would highly recommend that any Litchfield High School junior or senior girl apply for Miss Litchfield as it’s a great experience. She says the Litchfield Watercade royalty will be helping with the Easter Egg Hunt this weekend; they have a daughter-dad dance coming up; and they will soon begin attending more parades and community events with the beginning of summer.
The Litchfield Downtown Council is hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Litchfield Civic Arena. It’s for children up to age 12.
Betty Allen says ProWorks and Ecumen have helped them stuff between 5,000 and 6,000 plastic eggs with goodies. She says some of the eggs will have slips of paper entitling the child with a new bicycle or other prize and they’ve had lots of bicycles donated this year.
Allen says they divide the Civic Arena into 6 circles with each age group in a different circle collecting eggs and the children should bring a basket or container in which to put their eggs. She says members of the Litchfield Rescue Squad will be helping the Litchfield Downtown Council with the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning at the Litchfield Civic Arena – and the Boy Scouts and Litchfield Rotary Club helped them assemble the bicycles that will be given away.
