Sylvester Baune

81-year-old SYLVESTER “SY” BAUNE passed away on February 21, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10-to-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28th, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield.

Sy is survived by his children – Denise Baune of Eden Prairie, Dawn (& Ryan) Kral of Dassel, and Nick Baune of Glendive, MT

Grandchildren – Kaitlin, Olivia, Alena, Alex (Jenna), Taylor, Eli (Rachel), and Afton

Step-grandchildren – Logan and Lidyea

Great-grandchildren – Scarlett, Henley, and Maisie

Sisters – Teresa Buechner, Elaine & Alfonse Jenniges; and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Philip’s Catholic Church or St. Philip’s Catholic School in honor of Sy’s lifelong devotion to his faith.
