LHS “Students of the Week” – January 30
ALEXIS PALKO has been selected as one of this weeks “Students of the Week” by the ALP Teachers. Alexis is a senior and the daughter of Christine Johnson of Litchfield. Alexis has been a great addition to the ALP Program. She completes quality work and actively participates in challenging class discussions. Alexis is helpful with her peers and is willing to ask for assistance and offer assistance when needed – she is a team player. Alexis has a positive attitude and works diligently on each assignment. She also has a creative mind, especially with writing and artistic assignments. Alexis is attentive in class and shares her answers and thoughts regularly. She works hard and encourages her classmates to do their best as well. Alexis participates in service learning projects and volunteer projects through the ALP program. SYDNEY WITTHUS has also been selected as one of this weeks “Students of the Week” by Natalie Nelson of the Math Department. Sydney is a freshman and the daughter of Krista and Mitch Witthus of Litchfield. Sydney has demonstrated tremendous growth this school year. She asks excellent questions during work time, perseveres through challenging problems, and is a strong self-advocate. Sydney enthusiastically contributes to class discussions and is willing to share her ideas even when she is not 100% sure about what the “correct” answer is. She understands that mistakes are valuable opportunities for learning and models this mindset for others. Sydney is consistently kind and respectful to both staff and peers. Congratulations Sydney on being chosen as a Student of the Week!
