After nearly 20 years, unemployment above national rate

This year, Minnesota’s unemployment rate moved higher than the national rate for the first time since 2007, according to a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis that examines the challenges lower-income Minnesotans are facing in the current economy.

MPR News host Clay Masters spoke with Alene Tchourumoff, the lead author of the study, about what these data points mean for Minnesota households.
