2-Vehicle Crash in Dovre Township

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 2-vehicle crash at 2:18 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Highway 71 and 26th Street Northeast in Dovre Township. A 2013 Cadillac SRX, driven by Ex-Savor Rene Cruz of Willmar, and a 2002 GMC Sierra, driven by 48-year-old Lars Gustafson of Willmar, were both westbound on Highway 23 and while navigating the curve onto southbound Highway 71, collided. The Cadillac came to a stop in the west ditch and the Sierra was able to drive to the Point Lake Access. Gustafson received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Rice Hospital by CentraCare Ambulance. Cruz and his passenger – 27-year-old McKynna Cochran of Tracy were not injured.
