3-Vehicle Crash in Kingston Township
The Minnesota State Patrol and the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash involving 3 vehicles on Monday morning at 7:10. The accident took place on Highway 15 and County Road 27 in Kingston Township.
A 2017 GMC Sierra was westbound on Highway 27. A 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling south on Highway 15. A 2022 Mazda CX9 was eastbound on Highway 27. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
The Grand Prix was driven by 55-year-old Sherry Lynn Wyffels of Watkins. She received non-life-threatening injuries. The Sierra was driven by 41-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia Chavez of Buffalo. He was not injured. The Mazda was driven by 57-year-old Richard Alan Thompson of Grove City. He received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital. A passenger in his vehicle – 8-year-old Zane Oryan Thompson was not injured.
