3-Vehicle Crash in Litchfield
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a 3-vehicle crash in Litchfield at 10:23 Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at East St. Paul Street and South Sibley Avenue.
A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado – driven by 44-year-old Anthony Allen Fransen of Litchfield – was westbound on East St. Paul Street and a 2021 Kenworth Semi – driven by 25-year-old Jonathon Michael Niece of Watkins – was northbound on Highway 22 when the vehicles collided. The Chevrolet Silverado then collided with a 2012 Buick Lacrosse – driven by 54-year-old Rick James Plamann of Cokato – that was Eastbound on East St. Paul Street. Plamann was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Also responding to the scene were Litchfield Police, Litchfield Fire and Rescue, and Mayo Ambulance.
