Atwater Threshing Show
The Atwater Threshing Show is coming up this weekend – Saturday and Sunday – from 7-to-4 each day. Admission is $8 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
Adam Bosch says they are featuring Industrial Tractors and equipment this year so they will be highlighting many different brands. He says they also have lots of stationary gas engines at the Atwater Threshing Show and the feature this year is Rockford engines.
Bosch says they also have hot air engines, threshing, corn shelling, shingle making, sorghum processing, rope making, a blacksmith shop, a printing shop and many other demonstrations. He says quilts will be featured this year in the Prairie House, cars will be displayed by the Atwater Car Club, there’s live bluegrass and Gospel music each day – including Monroe Crossing on Sunday from 2-to-4 p.m., a tractor parade each day at 1 p.m., and a kid’s pedal pull on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Bosch says the Atwater Lions will be selling food during the Atwater Threshing Show, and there’s an ice cream stand. He says the show is located just east of Atwater at 1100 Kandi-Meeker Road, and for more information, go to atwaterthreshingdays.com.
