Boys & Girls Meeker County Day
The American Legion Posts of Meeker County will host the annual Boy’s and Girl’s Meeker County program in Litchfield tomorrow. Students from around the county in grades 8, 9 or 10 will learn about how county government functions.
The American Legion program is designed to be an educational experience for the students whose curriculum includes studying county government. In the past, students from ACGC, Eden Valley-Watkins and Litchfield have participated. The 32 students who plan to participate tomorrow will spend part of the day at the Meeker County Government Center, the G.A.R. Hall and the Law Enforcement Center. They’ll receive presentations from department heads and tour the county facilities. Lunch will be served at 11:45 at the American Legion Post in downtown Litchfield where the students will eat with the County Commissioners and department heads.
