Catholic Schools Week
The students and staff at St. Philip’s Catholic School in Litchfield are celebrating Catholic Schools Week this week. A breakfast was held at St. Philip’s Church yesterday and lots of fun events are planned for this week.
This year’s theme is “United in Faith and Community.” One of the fun events during Catholic Schools Week is “Wacky Day” when the students can dress in weird clothing and put things in their hair. Some of the older students will be going to Black Light Adventure in St. Cloud for a field trip this week.
St. Philip’s School Principal Andrea Dietrich says there is a raffle drawing during Catholic Schools Week and the grand prize is a 2024 Chevy Trax or $20,000 and all of the money raised supports the school. She says raffle tickets are $10.
Dietrich says there are 52 students enrolled at the School of St. Philip in Litchfield right now and they receive lots of one-on-one help. She says new students may enroll at any time, and any interested families may check out the school and take a tour, and there will be an open house coming up in March.
