Central Park Music for the Summer Season

The Litchfield Visitors Bureau is promoting the music in Central Park for the summer season. Lots of musical acts have been booked by the Litchfield Downtown Council for Thursday evenings this summer.
Darlene Kotelnicki says the first concert will feature an Elvis impersonator who will perform during the Watercade Committee’s Brat Feed on June 5th. She says other performers this summer will include Terry Shaw and his daughter – Drea, the Everett Smithson Band, the Marshall Star Band, Litchfield Community Theatre performing songs from “Guys & Dolls,” Bob & the Beachcombers performing during Watercade, Steve Michaud, the Gig Noonan Band, the Palomino Brothers, the Rainbow Singers and Litchfield Area Male Chorus, Scott Kargas, and Tim Cook and Kristi Olson.
Kotelnicki says there are usually charitable groups selling food during the concerts, and the Thriving Thursdays will also include the Farmer’s Market every Thursday from 2-to-5:30 next to the Fielgate Cheese Store, stores open downtown, and the American Legion’s Car & Bike night. She says the Litchfield Downtown Council receives funds each year to make the concerts in Central Park possible.
Kotelnicki says they buy ads in the Litchfield Rail newspaper and on KLFD Radio and are considering ads in the Senior Perspective publication as well. She says Litchfield Blues Baseball is celebrating its 75th anniversary this summer too.
Deana Wheeler from the Chamber says the Litchfield Visitors Bureau is excited about the Cam Shaft Special which will be coming up on June 14th in the Litchfield Civic Arena parking lot. She says if anyone has an event that they want in the next quarterly table tent, they are welcome to submit it.
Wheeler says you can find more information about events in Litchfield at litchfieldmn.com or call the Chamber office at 693-8184.
