Christmas at Trinity Church in Grove City
Christmas at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City will be tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be decorative cookies, candy, a bake sale, lefse, ethnic goodies, quilts, crafts, cards, napkins and brunch. The cost for the brunch is $13 for adults, $6 for children 10 and under and $4 for just a roll and coffee. Take-outs are available.
Janelle Johnson says everyone at Trinity – all age groups – get involved and many of the members work for months in advance getting ready. She says she’s often looking at garage sales and thrift stores for Christmas plates on which they sell their fancy cookies.
Johnson says they had a lefse day a couple of weeks ago when they made all of the lefse that they will be selling tomorrow. She says the brunch is a popular part of Christmas at Trinity with eggs, ham, hash browns, rolls and fruit compote, and when her daughter was in the hospital 6 years ago giving birth, she requested a brunch to-go.
Johnson says you can pay for all of your items at once as you exit the church, and they have an area where you can store the items you purchased so that you can go back inside for brunch before heading out to your car. She says they have ample parking at Trinity and there are attendants there who can direct you and assist you.
