Downtown Grants
For a limited time, thanks to a small Rural Business Development Grant from the USDA, MMDC can connect small to mid-size businesses, including businesses in Litchfield’s historic downtown area, with free energy/utility consultations from Clean Energy Resource Teams and the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program. These consultations are primarily focused on helping businesses save money on their utility bills.
The businesses are under absolutely no obligation to follow any of the recommendations offered but might identify some good solutions to reduce their overhead costs. Many solutions are often fairly simple and low cost.
If interested, reach out to MMDC’s new Regional Development & Grant Specialist, Carol Lundgren, at Carol.Lundgren@mmrdc.org or call 320-235-8504. If there are several businesses, all the better. They can probably all be done on the same day or two. Darlene Kotelnicki says more information will be coming soon about an Energy Meeting at the Litchfield Opera House on Tuesday, April 16, at 1 p.m.
