Drive By Shooting
On Thursday afternoon at 1:07, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired from a vehicle towards another individual leaving their driveway in a separate vehicle. The suspect was later located by Willmar Police, and the vehicle eluded officers.
The vehicle left the roadway in the 1700 block of Willmar Avenue Southwest and a perimeter was set up by law enforcement. The alleged shooter was apprehended in a nearby shed without incident. Two other individuals fled the scene and were not located.
Charges being considered include attempted 2nd degree murder, 2nd degree assault, drive-by shooting, reckless discharge of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
