Ecumen of Litchfield Volunteer Opportunities
Ecumen of Litchfield had help from many community members over the holiday season to brighten the lives of its residents. Dawn Doty says several people visited their campus to sing and the adopt-a-grandparent program was a great success as many gifts were provided.
Doty says more volunteer opportunities are available at Ecumen. She says if anyone has some type of talent to share such as singing or reading the newspaper or whatever, they should contact her.
Doty says she has openings available in Adult Day services which is available Monday through Friday from 8-to-3 for $17 an hour which includes a noon meal and snacks, and bathing can be added for an additional $40. She says they do exercises, play games, do puzzles, take naps and more, and it provides a much needed break for caregivers. For more details, call 320-373-6627.
Nicole Larson says she has some availability at Bethany and Emmaus Place which is due unfortunately to the deaths of some residents. She says if you’re thinking about getting into the housing at Ecumen, call her to set up a tour and to get on her waiting list.
