Fatal Crash in St. Joseph

On Friday at approximately 3 PM the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a crash detection call near the address of 7855 Mullen Road in St. Joseph. A passerby called in and provided information that a vehicle had rolled and that someone was pinned under the vehicle.

Stearns County Deputies, St. Joseph Fire/Rescue and the St. Joseph Police Department responded to the crash site. Responders that arrived on the scene determined that the drive of the vehicle was deceased. The drive was identified as Cody Christopher Strong, 22 of St. Cloud. Based on evidence at the scene, it is believed that Strong was traveling east on Mullen Road when he lost control in the curves. He then went off the road into the south ditch, overcorrected, crossed the road, went in the north ditch and rolled. Strong was partially ejected from the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
