Fatal Crash Southwest of Willmar

A Willmar man is dead after a crash between a car and a semi loaded with turkeys southwest of Willmar Tuesday morning.  The crash happened during the heavy rainstorm on Highway 23 near Kandiyohi County Road 5 on the southwest corner of Willmar, around 7:47 a.m. Tuesday.

The 42-year-old driver of the Honda Civic, Jose Luis Nunez, was killed and the semi driver, 30-year-old Marlo Guevera of Willmar, was not injured.  The semi was traveling eastbound, toward Willmar, and the Honda was westbound on 23 when they collided.
