February Library Events

The libraries in Meeker County have several activities coming up this month. One of the events – the Adult Winter Reading Program – continues until March 15th at the Litchfield, Dassel, Grove City, and Cosmos libraries. The Pioneerland libraries will be closed on Monday, February 17th, for Presidents Day.

At the Litchfield Library, Baby/Toddler Story Time is on Wednesdays from 10:15-to-10:45 a.m.;
Preschool Story Time is on Fridays from 10-to-11 a.m.; the Adult Book Club will have a discussion about “Lessons in Chemistry” on Tuesday, February 11th, at noon; the Lego Night for ages 4-to-14 will be on February 11th from 6:30-to-7:30 p.m.; the Crafterdark bring-your-own craft program for ages 16-to-adult, will be on Wednesday, February 12th from 6:30-to-7:30 p.m.; Kid’s Craft Club for grades K-through-6 will be on Tuesday, February 18th, from 4-to-5 p.m.; Minnesota author Mindy Mejia will be at the Litchfield Library on February 19th at 6:30 p.m.; Knitting Club will meet on Thursday, February 20th from 12:30-to-1:30 p.m.; and the Friends of the Litchfield Library meeting will be on Tuesday, February 25th at 4 p.m. The teen program – making cosplay gloves for ages 11-to-18 for Saturday, February 8th, at 1:30 p.m has been cancelled due to the weather.

In Dassel, Story Hour is on Fridays at 10 a.m., and the Adult Book Club will discuss “Her Hidden Genius” on Tuesday, February 25th at 1 p.m. In Grove City, the Crafternoon bring-your-own craft program will be on Thursdays from 3-to-5 p.m. and Story Time is on Tuesday, February 18th at 2 p.m. In Cosmos, the Cosmos Creation Club LEGO program for ages 5-to-18 will be on Monday, February 24th from 2-to-3 p.m. For more details, call 693-2483.
