Forest City Thresher Association Elects New Board Members
The Forest City Thresher Association met on November 19th for its annual election of new Board Members. Retiring Board members – President Frank Berg and Vernon Geisinger – had both served multiple terms and were not eligible for re-election.
Dale Groskreutz’s term was also up, but he was eligible to run again for re-election and was re-elected. Nate Berg and Jason Jakovitz were both elected to the Board. The new Board then met and elected its new officers for the coming year. Dale Groskreutz will serve as president, Nathan Berg will serve as vice president, Shelly Kranz was re-elected as Treasurer and Laura Niece was re-elected as Secretary.
Dale Groskreutz has served as president of the Forest City Threshers previously and will bring a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to that position once again. Carry over Board Members are Robert Bohrer of Cosmos and Don Heurer of the Grove City area.
In other business, the date for the Spring Roast Beef Dinner was set for March 30th and the Pork Chop Dinner was set for May 4th. Proceeds from the roast beef dinner will once again be used to assist in the completion of the Depot Restoration Project. Proceeds from the Pork Chop Dinner will be dedicated to the completion of a restroom facility in the Women’s Building.
It was confirmed that the feature for this coming 2025 threshing show will be Ford – Ferguson- Massey Harris and Massey Ferguson and related lines and equipment.
