Gennessee Township 2-Vehicle Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash Tuesday morning at 8:13 in Gennessee Township near Atwater on Highway 12 near the 165th Street Northeast intersection. Both vehicles were westbound on Highway 12 and they collided. A 2004 Peterbilt semi was driven by 38-year-old Matthew Mark Frederickson of Hanska. He was not injured. A 2017 Kia Sportage was driven by 20-year-old Lily Jo Hansen of Grove City. She received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Rice Hospital in Willmar. Also responding to the scene were the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and Atwater Fire and Ambulance.
