Grove City Area CARE October Fest Dinner & Activites

The Grove City Area CARE October Fest will be held on Sunday from 4-to-6:30 p.m. in the South Grove Gym on South 3rd Street in Grove City. There will be a meal and numerous other activities.
CARE Volunteer Coordinator Rosie Dilley says the meal will include pulled pork, sausage, sauerkraut, potato salad, beans, bars and beverages for $14 per meal and the cost is $6 for children 10 and under. She says there will be Grandma’s cookie walk, a farmer’s market, crafts and a kid’s corner.
Dilley says there will also be raffle items and people can purchase tickets to put in jars in front of those items for a chance to win and they will call the winners after the drawing is held. She says the October Fest is one of the Grove City Area CARE program’s big fundraisers each year.
Dilley says they receive some funds from the Dept. of Human Services, but also rely on their fundraising events and donations. She says the Grove City Area CARE program offers all kinds of services to help keep seniors living safely in their own homes such as foot care, memory care, handicapped equipment, some nursing services, social activities and more.
