Highway 24 Concrete Repair Project
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin the Highway 24 concrete repair project in Meeker County on May 6th. MnDOT will be repairing and smoothing the pavement on four major sections and several smaller sections of concrete along Highway 24 in Meeker County, from Highway 12 in Litchfield to Highway 15 north of Kingston.
Work is expected to conclude by May 31st. Construction dates are subject to change depending on weather and other unforeseeable circumstances. A detour of Highway 24 is required to complete the project. Access will be available to homes and businesses along the project route.
Benefits of the project include an improved road surface for a smoother ride, reduced maintenance costs, and extended pavement life. PCiRoads, LLC is the contractor and the project cost is approximately $812,000.
