House Fire in Dassel

On Sunday morning at 9:15, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire at a residence in the 500 block of Simon Avenue west in Dassel.  Deputies arrived to see heavy smoke coming out of the second-story window. 

The owner, 65-year-old Connie Pool, and one other occupant, 42-year-old John Klingelhoets, were home at the time of the fire.  Fire crews were able to put the fire out; however, the house sustained significant fire and smoke damage.  The fire is believed to be electrical-related.  The MN Fire Marshal was contacted and the investigation into the cause is ongoing.  No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
