Knights of Columbus Fish Fry This Friday
The PJ Casey Council 2029 Knights of Columbus 20th annual Fish Fry is coming up this Friday from 11-to-7 at the Church of St. Philip Social Hall in Litchfield. It’s dine in or drive up – until the fish is gone.
Dave Keeling says the cost per meal is $17 and the menu includes Alaskan Pollock, baked potato, baked beans, dinner roll, coleslaw, cookie and beverages – and the beverages are for dine in customers only. He says they usually have about 1,000 drive-up customers each year.
Keeling says they buy all of their products locally for the fish fry which resulted in over $11,000 going back into the local economy last year. He says they have purchased a lot of fish so they should not run out before 7 o’clock.
Keeling says the proceeds from the fish fry go to all kinds of community projects that are supported by the Knights of Columbus such as the food shelf and the after prom party. He says during the Songs of Summer Festival in the summer, the Knights of Columbus operates a burger stand and the proceeds from that go to the coats-for-kids project.
