LAMP Recognizes Important Mentors to Children
The Litchfield Area Mentorship Program continues to seek adults willing to be matched with young people around Meeker County. Yesterday, the program made an effort to recognize teachers who are very important mentors to our children.
Erika Buller says LAMP handed out mugs to teachers and they could fill them with goodies such as coffee, tea, and chocolate which was a way for their program to show gratitude for how they shape our children’s lives.
Buller says the gratitude event was made possible with donations from 3M, Anderson Chemical and a Thrivent Action grant. She says they held yesterday’s event on the 100th day of school.
Buller says LAMP is getting ready for Ham Bingo which is usually held on the Friday before Good Friday. She says if anyone is willing to become a mentor or would like more information about LAMP, they can email her at coordinator@lampkinship.org or call 320-699-1616.
