LHS Graduation Ceremony Set for Saturday

One hundred and ten Litchfield High School seniors are expected to cross the stage in the Litchfield High School gymnasium to get their diplomas this Saturday. The commencement ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.
Litchfield High School Principal Jason Michels says the program will probably last a little over an hour as the band performs – beginning with “Pomp and Circumstance” and ending with the “Rouser.” He says the Litchfield High School choir will also perform and there will be four seniors speaking – Allie Kargas, Brooke Caron, Carly Twardy and Ben Olson.
Michels says many of the seniors will be going on to either 2-year technical programs or 4-year colleges and some of them will enter the military or go into the work force immediately. He says he’s hoping many of them will return to Litchfield some day during their future endeavors.
Michels says today is the last day of school for the seniors and then they’ll have commencement practice tomorrow. He says the rest of the students in the Litchfield School District have their last day of school on June 3rd and then there’s a teacher workshop day on June 4th.
