The Litchfield High School Student Council and National Honor Society hosted the first annual Boo Bash on Saturday at the Litchfield Area Recreation Center. The event not only provided a fun morning for local children, it also helped to raise funds for the Meeker Area Food Shelf.
LHS Student Council President Cole Palmer says they are also planning a blood drive for November 12th from 8-to-2 and there are plenty of appointments yet to be filled. Go to redcrossblood.org for more details. He says Jacked Up Coffee will have a beverage and food trailer in the parking lot that day.
Palmer says the Student Council is also working on a co-ed volleyball tournament – probably in December. LHS Student Council Marketing Manager Jailyn Mickelson says they will accept freewill donations to participate in the volleyball tournament.
Mickelson says the student council had a volleyball tournament last year to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for children, and they usually coordinate 3 blood drives each year. She says they are looking forward to the 2nd annual Boo Bash next year.
