Litchfield Community Theatre Presents “Guys and Dolls”
The Litchfield Community Theatre production of “Guys and Dolls” will open next Thursday – July 24th at 7 p.m. in the Bernie Aaker Auditorium. The show continues July 25th and 26th at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, July 27th at 2 p.m.
Director Tim Nelson says there’s a cast of 40 talented actors and many of them are veterans of the Litchfield Community Theatre stage. He says “Guys and Dolls” is a classic Broadway musical written in the 1950s about gamblers who get their souls transformed at a mission in downtown New York City.
Nelson says there are no youth parts in this show, so he assembled a group of young people to sing in an ensemble before the show and before the intermission. He says there are great costumes, choreography and sets and a live orchestra, and they’re hoping for large audiences to come and see “Guys and Dolls.” Tickets are available at litchfieldcommunitytheatre.com, at the Litchfield Community Education office in the Wagner Building or by calling 693-2354.
