Litchfield Lions Club Breakfast

The Litchfield Lions Club has a breakfast on Sunday, April 6th from 8:30-to-12:30 at the Litchfield Eagles Club. It includes pancakes, French toast, sausage, coffee, juice and milk for a freewill offering.
Long-time Lions Club member Hal Wenaas says he used to coordinate a spring breakfast for lung transplant patients, but is no longer doing that, so the Lions will be using that date for a breakfast. He says the Lions use the proceeds to help youth with vision and food needs, and there are several organizations that are helping to make Sunday’s breakfast possible including Thrivent, Family Fare, Forsman Farms, Cenex and the Litchfield Eagles Club.
Wenaas says the community was very supportive last weekend as the Lions were collecting food at Family Fare and Walmart as over $8,800 and over 2,500-pounds of food was donated. He says the Litchfield Lions Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Prospects and new members are welcome to join.
