Litchfield Rotary Club Flower Pick Up Times
The Litchfield Rotary Club took orders earlier this month for roses and fall bouquets and the flowers will be available to be picked up later this week at Davis Auto Body on East Highway 12 in Litchfield. The pick-up times are Thursday and Friday from 11:30-to-1 and from 4-to-6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Tom Zens says 818 bouquets were ordered this year and they would like to thank the community for the support. He says this is their biggest fundraiser of the year and the proceeds go for all kinds of community projects. Zens says they can use new members who are welcome to attend their meetings which are held every Tuesday at 7 a.m. at the Litchfield Rescue/Fire Hall.
Zens says they order a few extra bouquets each year, so if you forgot to place an order, you could try to get one during the pick-up times at Davis Auto Body, but you may want to get their right away on Thursday.
Randy Quitney says you should bring your order stub when you pick up your flowers and if you can’t find it, they can look up your order, but it will take longer. He says they use their proceeds from the flower sale for great causes like the Beds-for-Kids project which recently received a $5,100 donation from Center Bank after their Burgers for a Cause event.
Quitney says they have some extra beds made, so if there’s a child in the area without a bed of their own, contact a Rotary member or your social worker to get a bed.
