Litchfield Visitors Bureau Promoting Several Events
The Litchfield Visitors Bureau is promoting several events that will likely draw people into the community. The Litchfield Downtown Council has a couple of events in the near future.
Darlene Kotelnicki says the Litchfield Downtown Council presents Downtown Elvis Town on Saturday, March 28th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. She says you can get a passport at the Barka Building at 202 North Sibley Avenue then visit the participating shops to have it initialed for a 3 p.m. prize drawing; and Terry Shaw will perform in the Barka building from 10 a.m. to noon.
Kotelnicki says there will be an Elvis theme in each of the participating shops, and you can have your photo taken with Elvis as he will be walking up and down Sibley Avenue. She says the Litchfield Downtown Council will also have an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th – starting promptly at 10 a.m. at the Litchfield Civic Arena. It’s for children 12 and under.
Kotelnicki says the summer music will return to Central Park in Litchfield in June. She says the first concert will feature Frank Sinatra music, and then on the 3rd Thursday, they will have popcorn and a movie.
Kotelnicki says there will be a 250th anniversary celebration of America in Downtown Litchfield on July 2nd and the Willmar Barbershop Choir will perform in Central Park that evening; and then the Watercade concert on July 9th will be open mic night. She says the Farmer’s Market will be returning to the former Burger King location in mid-May. For more information on events taking place in Litchfield, go to litchfieldmn.com.
